DeXe (DEXE)
System: DeXe — Coordination and Governance
DeXe provides decentralised autonomous organisation (DAO) launch and management tools for organisations and communities that need proposal, voting, delegation, treasury-transfer, reward, staking and token-sale modules. DeXe Protocol publicly launched on BNB Chain mainnet in 2023, with DAO Studio live as the user interface for creating and governing DAOs; DeXe later launched its smart contracts and governance framework on Ethereum in 2025. The analysed system boundary includes Ethereum Virtual Machine (EVM) smart contracts, the DAO Studio web interface where material to access, DEXE token contracts, the DeXe Protocol DAO, and the DeXe Protocol Association for documented off-chain treasury administration and decision implementation.

Token Functionalities
Governance
- Process and Meta Parameter Control (Partial)
Right to amend decision-process settings such as voting duration, quorum, minimum token requirements, delegation configuration and voting model parameters. Ownership or delegated control of DEXE voting power is required. Strength is Partial because proposal templates evidence executable on-chain changes, but execution is not verified as unilateral across all process and meta-governance components.
- Treasury Control (Partial)
Right to direct assets held in the DeXe DAO Treasury through proposal-based transfers, reward allocation and treasury-managed protocol support. Ownership or delegated control of DEXE voting power is required; no independent treasury-share token is created. Strength is Partial because on-chain transfers can execute through proposals, while off-chain reserve movements depend on Association and Council implementation.
- Economic Design/Parameter Control (Partial)
Right to influence economic design and parameters that affect protocol fees, reward settings, incentive outcomes and treasury-funded economic flows. Ownership or delegated control of DEXE voting power is required. Strength is Partial because validator review, off-chain Association implementation and unverified admin paths can constrain execution.
- Actor Set Permissioning (Partial)
Right to appoint, remove or affect privileged actors such as validators, experts and Council-linked roles. Ownership or delegated control of DEXE voting power is required, while validator tokens and expert NFTs are role credentials rather than DEXE receipt tokens. Strength is Partial because admitted validators, experts and Council members retain participant-based or entity-based authority once appointed.
Value Distribution
- Direct Entitlement (Algorithmic or Guaranteed)
Right to claim staking rewards in the launched DEXE staking programme by locking DEXE for the selected period. The strength applies only to active staked positions in the launched programme and does not represent a general claim on all DeXe revenue.
System Attributes
Operating Model
<p>DeXe has a Hybrid Operating Model. DeXe uses on-chain Ethereum Virtual Machine (EVM) smart contracts for DAO creation, contract registries, voting, proposal execution, staking, delegation, rewards and token-sale modules. Production deployments include the DeXe DAO, DeXe DAO Token, DeXe NFT Multiplier, ContractsRegistry, ERC721Expert, PoolFactory and PoolRegistry contracts. The off-chain DAO Studio web interface provides the user-facing access layer for configuring and managing these contract modules. The DeXe Protocol Association is not used to classify the Operating Model; its role is covered under System Value Capture and Routing and System Governance.</p>
Value Creation
<p>DeXe has Hybrid Value Creation. On-chain value creation occurs through contracts that create DAOs, register DAO contracts, define DAO settings, execute proposals, manage validators, track staking programmes, process delegation formulas, and distribute rewards. DAO Studio adds an off-chain web interface for configuring and using these contracts, including voting settings, treasury transfers, staking and token-sale templates. The DeXe Protocol Association adds off-chain implementation capacity through legal agreements, grant administration, service-provider engagement and reserve transfers. The core product, therefore, depends on both contract-enforced DAO modules and off-chain interface/legal components.</p>
Value Capture
<p>DeXe has Hybrid Value Capture and Routing. On-chain, DeXe records protocol fees embedded in reward distribution and initial treasury allocations (ITAs) as value gathered to the DeXe DAO Treasury, with the treasury managed by DEXE governance. DAO Studio documentation also states that reward fees route to the DeXe Protocol DAO treasury, with a current reward-fee rate of 30%. Token-sale proceeds from downstream DAO sales route to the relevant downstream DAO treasury, not to DeXe Protocol value capture. Off-chain, the DeXe Protocol Association can administer reserves, grants, legal agreements and service-provider payments within DAO-set parameters, so final beneficiaries may include the DeXe DAO, protocol ecosystem recipients, grantees or service providers.</p>
